1) First week. During week 2 this quarter, you need to keep baseline measures (for behaviors that you currently engage in but are aiming to increase or decrease) and you will need to make preparations for your adoption of the new behavior pattern. Write about a page describing your baseline measures and/or describe your plans for tracking your behaviors (how will you keep track each day?) and your plans for equipment, scheduling, or other structure you will have put into place to make your behavior change possible.
2) Second week. This is where you can submit your behavior data and your reflection on your behavior change activities this week. First, briefly describe your behavior change and why you chose that behavior for focus this quarter. Then, you may have used this week to measure what your beginning/baseline levels of an existing behavior were–you can record and comment on those. Maybe you embarked on a new-to-you behavior; in that case, write about one page paper about how your initial efforts went. Your reflections should show evidence of personal reflection–that is, thinking about what you did and why, and what you might change to make this behavior change easier or more successful.
3) Week 3, This is where you can post your behavior change data and activities for this second week of this project AND your reflection on your activities this week related to your behavior change. How did the second week of your efforts go? What changes might you make for the coming week?
4) week 4, This is where you can post your behavior change data and activities for this second week of this project AND your reflection on your activities this week related to your behavior change. How did the second week of your efforts go? What changes might you make for the coming week?
5) post your data for this past week here, along with reflections on your efforts.
6) week 6, Over halfway through this behavior change assignment time frame! Post your data from last week along with reflections for this week.
7) week 7, Record your data for this week, then take a look at this brief reading about ‘willpower’ (Attached)— and include in your reflection its relevance (if any) to your own behavior change efforts.
8) week 8, Post your data here, then your reflection—what have you learned about yourself through this behavior change assignment? In your reflection, consider how ideas related to ‘self’ have affected (worked for or against) you making this behavior change.
