For this assignment, you are being asked to create a PowerPoint presentation that reviews and illustrates the concepts of reliability and validity that students can use to assist with studying for exams.

Study the examples in the textbook, and create your own charts and graphs to describe the following:

  1. internal versus external validity;
  2. validity and operational definition;
  3. statistical validity and margin of error of the estimate;
  4. face validity versus content validity;
  5. criterion validity and behavior;
  6. convergent versus discriminant validity;
  7. test-retest reliability;
  8. interrater reliability and observational research;
  9. two uses for internal reliability; and
  10. the kinds of conclusions (your textbook calls them, “claims”) that can be derived from surveys, or correlational and experimental studies.

You are encouraged to use the SmartArt graphics tools in PowerPoint or photos of your own hand-drawn graphs. Be sure to provide examples to illustrate your descriptions.
