a.Review the American School Counseling Association (www.schoolcounseling.org), state school counseling association (e.g., The California Association of School Counselors http://www.schoolcounselor-ca.org/), and local credentialing agency requirements to become a school counselor (e.g., California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (https://www.ctc.ca.gov).

  2. As school counselors may work collaboratively with clinical mental health counselors in a school setting, discuss how scope of practice could impact school counselors’ ability to provide social-emotional counseling services to counselees.
